Chelsea Set To Name Frank Lampard As Their New Manager

The Derby County boss has been excused from pre-season training for a second successive day in order to conclude discussions with the Blues’ board.

Derby owner Mel Morris Told Exclusives on Monday morning it is ‘only a matter of time’ before Lampard is named as Maurizio Sarri’s successor at Stamford Bridge.

And the Daily Mail say Lampard has agreed a £4m-a-year deal with Chelsea, which will also see him net a £1m bonus if the Blues qualify for the Champions League.

The club’s all-time leading goalscorer is set to be announced as Maurizio Sarri’s replacement imminently.

And the Telegraph claims that one of his first jobs will be to allow the academy players to mix with the senior stars.
